About Us

Set in a beautiful countryside the 200-acre Rivalazzo Estate is made up of a collection of buildings once used as stables, farmhands lodgings and a dairy where the ‘parmesan’ was made. Today the land is farmed with tomatoes, wheat, corn, soya, sunflowers, onions and basil. In the mid of the estate is the 18 th century landlord’s house which was, and still is, the owner’s residence during the summer months.
Some of the farm buildings have been partly renovated are lived in all year round. The estate is surrounded by beautiful countryside and no other building is visible to the eye except for horse-breeding compound, famous throughout Europe, to the west.

The Estate is a wilderness area of the Province of Parma. Walking through the estate you can easily come across hare, pheasants and partridges and during the silence of the night you can hear owls and crickets. The nights of late Spring are lit by the presence of fireflies. A perfect environment for bicycle rides.

The bailiff’s house was restored in 2009 and is now the farmhouse B&B. Particular care has been taken to safeguard the environment: solar panels are used for heating water and low energy consuming lightbulbs.
The Rivalazzo Estate farmhouse B&B has 7 double bedrooms with on suite bathroom and independent heating. One of the double bedrooms is located on the ground floor and has access for the disabled. There is also a sitting room with an open fireplace and a dining room.

The price for a double room with breakfast goes from Euro 35,00 to 60,00 per person - with additional beds at an extra cost of Euro 20,00 (plus VAT per person). Groups up to 20 people are welcome.
Languages spoken are Italian, German, English, French, Spanish.
